From their Kennedy New Balances to new colorways of their Nike SB Dunk Lobster collection, Concepts never misses on telling stories through their partnerships with brands. In 2020, they released one of their most over-the-top sneakers to date with the Nike SB Dunk High Turdunken.
The Nike SB Dunk Turdunken takes inspiration from mallards and Thanksgiving traditions. The sneaker holds iridescent material on the tongue and Swoosh to represent the bird’s colorful head and feathers. The side panels feature textured leather, mimicking bird feathers as well, while plush materials on the heel and toe imitate down jackets worn by hunters. A Hyper Orange outsole adds to the hunting-season aesthetic

The Concepts x Nike Dunk High Pro SB ‘TurDUNKen’ follows in the footsteps of past Dunk collaborations with the Boston-based retailer, all characterized by playful designs and a distinct New England sense of humor. This pair takes inspiration from the culinary hybrid known as the turducken, featuring feathery laser-cut detailing on the quarter panel. The larger color scheme, combining brown suede with metallic blue and green on the Swoosh and tongue, conjures images of a mallard duck. A scenic toile print covers the insole and collar lining, while the Nike SB tongue tag features ‘Duck High’ branding.
